John Alvarez - Owner

John Alvarez came to the United States from Colombia at 27, starting with a modest job in a baseball-card factory, packing cards into metal tins. Bit by bit, he worked his way up—first as a decorative plasterer and painter, restoring the historic homes that define the Hamptons. His eye for finish and respect for old-world craft earned him steady word-of-mouth, and his painting company eventually grew into John Casablanca Construction.

For John, success has never been about volume. It’s about communication, precision, and care—treating every home like it’s his own and every client like a long-term partner. Today, alongside his son Bayron, John leads a boutique firm known for hands-on leadership, thoughtful design collaboration, and meticulous execution.

A fun fact: before construction, John studied fashion design at university in Colombia and ran several clothing brands. That design sensibility—balance, proportion, detail—still guides his work on site.

Bayron Alvarez - Owner

Bayron began his career in construction as a laborer at just sixteen, learning the trade from the ground up — literally. Those early years instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship, teamwork, and the small details that make a project succeed.

After gaining experience in the field, he transitioned into estimating and assistant project management for a commercial general contractor, where he learned the fundamentals of planning, coordination, and project execution.

Eventually, Bayron returned home to the Hamptons to work alongside his father, combining his commercial foundation with his passion for high-end residential construction. Together, they’ve shaped John Casablanca Construction into a boutique firm known for its precision, honesty, and hands-on approach.

Bayron continues to pursue professional growth through ongoing ICC certifications and continued study of building science — always looking to refine his craft and bring even more value to the clients he serves.
